Three years ago, my parents saw me sitting on the couch on a Saturday night and they thought that was such an ungodly thing for a twenty-something to be doing in New York City that they wrestled me into a little black dress and sent me out with forty dollars in my pocket. They locked the door behind me and said:
“Don’t come back until you’ve had a night worth writing about.”
So this is their fault, really.
Since then, I’ve spent every hour adventuring and cultivating a life that I could put down on paper with some semblance of pride. And now I’m sharing those stories here, just in case anyone else likes to get a little too tipsy and live a little too dangerously.
On top of being a world adventurer who’s always ten steps away from disaster, I’m a New York-based essayist, scriptwriter, and producer, holding a Wellesley College degree in English and Astronomy, or as my father calls it “unemployment”. I recently finished my time at the Atlantic Acting Conservatory and am diving into playwriting, screenwriting, and production. My first production went up at Theater for the New City in February 2023, and two more shows are coming up in the new year. I’m also in the process of starting my own film production company, so cross your fingers for me, god knows I need some luck.
